I interrupt my August break to bring you BIG NEWS!
Make a date for your diary:
Friday 18 October 2013.
9pm.
Ilkley Playhouse.
Now, I know, most of you aren’t going to be able to come (and yes, some of you are going to have to look up where Ilkley is!) but I will be giving a talk at the Fringe for Ilkley Literature Festival.
Woop woop!
The talk is entitled Self-publication: how can a minnow make a masterpiece?
And no, I’m not sure what I’m going to say yet… although it will go through the self-publishing process (as I took it) and it will be funny (at least in parts!)
I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to talk about self-publishing. There is so much more opportunity these days for doing this, so many openings and chances for success. But what constitutes success? How many millions of copies (ahem!)? And how can you make the best of what you’ve got?
Well, I hope to explore some of these questions and more from my own successes and failures.
So – book it in your diary. Plan a weekend away in Yorkshire. Get the in-laws to babysit: whatever it takes!
Friday 18 October, 9pm at Ilkley Playhouse.
And it’s free!
